Institute and Symposium, June 24th to 30th 2019, New York City

Call for Papers:

We invite paper proposals that explore the polarities of today’s organizations and the society in which they are embedded, both on and below the surface. Possible relevant areas of interest may include a psychoanalytic view of: The value and feasibility of social safety nets; racial relations; government and governing; immigration and national identity; economic inequality; gender and sexual identity; health insurance; and leadership. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list.

Paper proposals should be about 500 words related to the theme of the conference. Each parallel presentation will be allotted approximately seventy-five (75) minutes in the program, to include a formal presentation and discussion with participants.

Proposals should be submitted by January 4, 2019.
You will be notified if your proposal is selected for the conference in March 2019.

All proposals should be sent to Ken Eisold at [email protected]

Call for Workshop Proposals:

The first three days of the ISPSO’s annual meeting are dedicated to professional development workshops that are designed to provide members and non-members an opportunity to learn and develop from other professionals. The workshops should appeal to any member and non-member, regardless of profession. These workshops should offer:

  • Other approaches to psychoanalytic organizational work.

We especially invite proposals that explore the conference theme on polarities of today’s organizations and the society in which they are embedded, both on and below the surface. Proposals may be about any aspect of psychoanalytic organizational work. Institute workshop proposals should be about 500 words and include workshop length and any technology or other special needs (flipcharts, screens, room arrangements, etc.). A workshop could be a half-day, full day or two-days and include presentations, experiential and case work, participant discussions, and personal development and application. Please specify in the proposal the level of experience and knowledge the workshop offers (beginner, intermediate, advanced, or all levels).
