ISPSO North American meeting in Toronto, co-sponsored by Bureau Kensington Consulting and the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for this special event in Toronto November 1 & 2, 2019 with Dr. Yiannis Gabriel. Dr. Gabriel is an internationally acclaimed author, consultant and academic Greek-British sociologist, well known for his contributions to the academic field of the psychoanalytic study of organizations and organisational storytelling.
 
Dr. Gabriel earned his Ph.D. in sociology in 1981 from UC Berkeley on a dissertation titled Freud and Society. He is Emeritus Professor, Management at the University of Bath, prior to which he was a Senior Lecturer in Organizational Studies and Professor of Organizational Theory http://www.yiannisgabriel.com

Nov 1st at the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society (4:00 - 5:30) Dr. Gabriel will talk about the 'practice of suspicion' in the study of organizations and institutions 'psychoanalytcially'. You will get a chance to meet and talk with other analysts, consultants, and senior leaders of organizations, to discuss unconscious workplace dynamics. A reception follows from 5:30 -7:00. Small fee.
 
Nov.2nd at Hart House, University of Toronto (9:00 - 5:00). Dr. Gabriel and others will talk about 'desire and difference in organizations: when everyone can not be special, not can everyone be the same'. There will be opportunities for small group discussions for exploring your own 'difference questions' and reflections.
 
 
In addition to events at the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society and Hart House, there will be an excursion to Niagara Falls on Sunday, Nov. 3. This guided tour includes transportation, a boat tour of the falls, sight-seeing, and wine tastings.
